Cloud Legal Issues: Contracts, E-Discovery, IP, SLAs

Please save the date for the upcoming Cloud Security Alliance – New York Metro Chapter Meeting on Thursday, February 21. The CSA NYM will be discussing the legal implications of using cloud services.

So you’ve moved your data to the cloud – What are the implications for your corporate data now? What happens to legal disclosure requests? What happens to attorney client privileged data? In this overview tutorial, you will learn how to view cloud issues through the lens of a practicing lawyer.  After a briefing on those laws and regulations currently impacting the cloud, you will learn why these regulations were enacted in the first place.  This understanding will provide an understanding of how to create contracts and compliance strategies that anticipate changes in regulations and the application of the regulations to individual businesses.  Finally, we will discuss drafting strategies.
